Logbook May 2005
May 01, 2005 : This month I have continued with 'Knallhatten', but haven't finished much yet.
reports from my workbench and elsewhere ..
3n20 scale (1:16) comes nicely inbetween 16mm scale (1:19) and 7/8in scale (1:13.7) Not as big as 7/8, but still bigger than G and 16mm. Here is a couple of tests in this scale.
There is also a vast number of figures in this scale, both military and for farming displays. Same with vehicles, but again sadly also only military or farming types. When it comes to chassis, wheels and tracks you have the complete 16mm and 7/8in scale market to order from.
3n20 is the latest big scale I have been working in. Basically I want to achieve same thing as with the previous BMC project, but in this bigger scale and no standard or ´almost´ no standard gauge involved. That means a small Estate line only, there the main industry is a match factory and a mine, but other type of traffic might join in later on.
For latest progress, check the menu for my logbooks which I publish monthly!
3n20 scale has been put on ice, since Jan 2006 only my two 7/8in scale projects BMT and RAR are active.
