Koltorp station, a diorama in 0f scale
It all started when a friend and I visited a train meet a few months ago. Another visitor had with him a fantastic HO std gauge layout with this amazing little station on. Beside it was a little side building which got my attention - the combined wash-house and storage building at Anten station at AGJ railway in Alingsås, Sweden. About an hours drive from there I live. I grow up visiting this place many times. I had seen the drawing before about a year ago, but this was first time I saw a model of it.
It exist as a kit in HO scale, but since I already built three layouts in HO scale (Blackwood ridge, Bazoche terminal and Klenshyttan) I thought it to be nice to go up one step to 0 scale. I talked to the guy who made the drawings for the kit and he kindly sent me a copy of the original drawings below.
Didn´t know at first what to do with it, except that I wanted to build a small diorama to put it on.
A few weeks later I did stumble on below goodies at ShapeWays, feldbahn locos for 12mm gauge, Had been looking at these many times, a week ago I did muster some strength and ordered one of each (plus a few wagons) !!
So, now I had both a house, a few locos (and wagons). Needed a trackplan. During lunch today I did scribble down below sketch on my smartphone. Size about 40 * 80 cm. Will probably use Peco HOm track. It includes three switches and a turntable. This plan gives me the option to extend on both ends if I want to in the future.
