Wazoo Island, First version
This article was published May 17, 2012.
I can´t even recall now, how the name Wazoo actually came about. But it stuck, and now I´m known as The wazz, or The Big Wazoo Probably a fitting name! Anyway, the first layout was the 1/32n20 version. 1/32nd scale on HO (16.5mm) track. It was built on a 32in wide by 80in long hollow core door. The track was all hand-laid using code 70 rail. The turnouts were BK kits left over from my previous On2-1/2 layout. (See Model Railroader´s May 2005 issue) This is the layout that subsequently went to Grover Cleveland, Charley Lix, and finally Dave Gast. A well travelled little layout, and hopefully enjoyed by all.
Comment: The first buyer Grover Cleveland, renamed the layout to Moote Point, that´s why some vehicles has that name. Dave recently acquired it from Charley Lix, and is restoring it to it´s original appearance with also it´s original name.
If you have any more except these below, I would be happy to add them here /Henrik.
