Mil - Which scale ?
This article was published Jul 28, 2019.
Vacation almost done and we are back home. Back to the office tomorrow ... sniff ..
Started printing some things in 1:16 scale to determine which scale I want to model in when it comes to my cannons and wagons. My original idea with 1:16 scale was to make pieces to put on the desk, either home or at work. But along the way I realized that I also want to do dioramas and for that 1:16 is way to much. I am not sure where I will land, I will do some more tests to find that out but my guess now is around 1:20 - 1:30.
Another thing, as you can see printing figures with a fdm (filament) printer is not very good, even if my Dremel has done a "decent" job of it. The left figure was printed standing up, making the face very poor. The soldier I did tilt a bit backwards which made it better, but still not good enough. In the long run I will have to invest in a resin printer like AnyCubic or equal. Time will tell.
