Cyklon 6 - First ribs

A Swedish racer boat from the 1950s.
The Rosita project is postponed to a later date in favor of this Swedish boat. Felt I needed to hone my skills with a bit easier model first.
It´s been close to twelve months since I worked with a model with real tools last time , not just the computer. Feels amazing after a quite rough times.
This is how this boat will look like if and when finished (above and below). This is the real deal. Pictures borrowed from Jan Sundsteds webpage at Cyklon boats. Jan´s father Åke Sundstedt was a famous boat constructor and his boats was built and raced by many back in the late 40s and beyond. This model the Cyklon 6 was drawn in 1955.
Haven´t worked with a tool like this since school. It vibrates worse than a harley, it glides around on the table when on, so does everything else... Ear protection is a must, BUT it makes just amazing cuts! They are so clean not even sanding is needed. It will take some practice to make straight cuts with it, but oboy what fun!
