LCM - Logbook March 2011, sketches
Mar 01, 2011 : Laurel Creek Mine, first sketches.
reports from my workbench and elsewhere ..
Now when the Duckwall Flats layout was done, it was time to start thinking about the next. This is the story of my new Gn15 layout, the Laurel Creek Mine no 2! Version 1 was done back in 2005, you can read more at the TPT convention box, but that project sadly did stall about halfway.
This time it started when I did look at some pictures of Steve Bennetts Blackdog Mine #2 Layout, see below first pictures (used with permission?...). I always liked it a lot, but for myself I wanted to do a swedish version with several typical swedish red mine buildings with white windows and corners, plus green mountains in the background instead of the moon landscape and also a bit extended in size.
When it is done, we will see how much resemblance it will have compared to Steve´s version...
