609 / S = 2021 News!

The king is dead, long love the king.. The guns and wagon period is over. Haven´t done any serious modelling since October last year, with a few smaller exceptions. Now lately I have been chewing on 1:27.2 scale for a while. If you take two foot gauge (609mm) and divide with S scale standard gauge which is 22.4mm you get 1:27.2 scale. I am not the first one, nor is it the first time I myself have modeled in this scale.
The idea is to use S scale track for 24in and H0 track for RAR 18in tracks. "Some" sort of diorama will be built so I have somewhere to place them, but not sure yet how that will be.
Below is first creation made in this scale / gauge combination which I finished. Also working on a BEV battery loco. Mark at LocosNStuff have made a chassis for BEV on 22.4mm gauge. Will hopefully arrive in a week or so.
News for this year is also that my Elegoo Saturn 3D printer arrived a while ago. Sadly my hobby room is still a big mess, need to finish cleaning up before I start up the printer.
