A swedish TimeSaver in O16.5 scale
The LGB layout is now history and a new world opens up !
This afternoon I was at the lumber yard and bought some 21 * 69 mm boards to make a wooden frame of.
Since I bought the Bachmann On30 trains in September (and finished up the last things on the LGB engine shed) I have been thinking further on this the new 016.5 project. And of course I have come up with a new trackplan ... But also a bit new ideas on what the focus will be on.
I want the following :
- a swedish TimeSaver module in about 50 * 210 cm in size, with removable backside so it can be stored behind a door standing up.
- focus on mostly buildings in swedish O scale (which is 1:45, not american On30 as I planned before..) but also on the scenery
- tracks in one level, but quite different ground levels around them
- not much focus on the trains themselves, I will use what I have already, as in Bachmann On30 and Fleishmann Magic Trains, even if not exact the same scale (1:48 and 1:45)
- for the time being, only O scale, no combo with other scales
- (but as most of my projects, the end is seldom the same as the start ...)
