Ekhem Railway - Roof angles

This article was published Nov 12, 2022.

While waiting for the 3D prints to arrive from SW, I did go further with the building walls.

From the photos I took at Kvarnabo I could calculate that the roof angles on this building is about 33 degrees. Easy peasy, but how to measure that on the model ? With a ruler and an protractor, it would be easy but I couldn´t find any, years since I did any trigonometric calculations. With the trusty old internet I quickly found this page Measure-an-Angle-Without-a-Protractor and with the values from that I did go further to this inverse-tangent-calculator-online. With these I could measure up that with a run of 48.5mm, the rise should be about 31.8mm to get a correct 33 degree angle for the roofs.

The old trick with adding painters tape on the backside of these sheets from Northeastern Scale Lumber, made it easy to cut up the wall pieces I needed without them splitting up in the process. These was tricky to find, but via RD-Hobby in Germany I got a rather quick delivery at a reasonable price.
