Mil - Simple Green

A while ago I found a vid on the tube (see below) which showed how to clean 3D resin prints with ordinary washing liquids instead of IPA. I had to try that, so here is a bust of a carolean soldier I made from one of the figures from DigitalSculpt. Even if I saw and heard him explain it, I had to see it for myself and yes it works great !! Bye, bye IPA.. Nice to have for other purposes when modelling, but no longer needed for cleaning prints.
As you can see he is a bit shiny around his eyes and a bit below. That because I was a bit in a rush and also diluted the mix 50/50 with water. Next time I will take more care and not dilute it at all. But it is fully proven that these washing liquids is much better than IPA. On top of that, they do not contain either alcohol or ammoniac, also with a pleasant smell instead of stinking IPA.

Since I wrote above I started using IPA in a spray-bottle which I apply right after I removed most supports. I brush it carefully and THEN I put it in Simple Green in a plastic bag and then that in the Ultrasonic cleaner for about 30 minutes (which itself only contains water). After final cure under UV lights I get a just perfect print, totally dry surface and with a good over all finish.
