Mil - The Kings Cannons - Photos

By pure luck I found out that the cannons from 1816 which normally is standing outside Drottningholms castle in Stockholm, is in Gothenburg right now and has been since two years when the renovation started done by the "Artilleriavdelningen i Göteborg" (the artillery department in Gothenburg) association. Yesterday I was there photographing and measuring them, also one of there own cannons from 1863 (the later brown cannon). As you can see, the kings blue cannons now looks amazing and are ready to be shipped back to Stockholm later this year.
Here is a small selection of the best photos I took. These will be made into 3D models later on.
Swedish field cannon M/1863
One of the last models which was still front loaded, but it has a grooved barrel. It is rather light and one man can easily move it around. The kings cannons from 1816 above needs at least two strong men on even ground, if uneven several...
